Our visitor farm, tearoom and nature reserve are open 7 days a week, 10am to 4pm.

Our Tipi is the perfect base to spend the day exploring the Nature Reserve. Or are you looking for a unique venue for a meeting, event or special occasion?

Hire also includes exclusive use of the fire pit and adjacent group shelter. Capacity: up to 30 people.

Half Day Tipi Hire: £39 10.00-12.30 or 13.30-16.00
Full Day Tipi Hire: £66 10.00 – 16.00

Includes access to resources and materials. You may arrive 15 minutes early to set up/prepare. Exclusive use of the tipi and the enclosed area.

Please note this hire does not include Murton staff time, there is an option for Murton staff to deliver planned activities at additional cost.

Rural Skills Cabin

The Rural Skills Cabin is a blank canvas waiting for you to get creative with a workshop, host a meeting or celebration event or even hire regularly for a group.

Hire also includes exclusive use of the cabin and there is access to power points. Capacity: up to 30 people.

Half Day Cabin Hire: £39 10.00-12.30 or 13.30-16.00
Full Day Cabin Hire: £66 10.00 – 16.00

We can offer catering. From traybakes and hot drinks to full lunches and party food, or you are welcome to bring your own. Please contact our office to discuss options and to book.

Food and drink can be supplied by our tearoom. If you have a particular request, please do ask. Small snacks can be offered. Basic lunches include;

Kids sandwiches, crisps, kids cake, fruit and juice £4.50 per child
Sandwiches, crisps, cake, fruit, tea and coffee £6.00 per adult

All groups will be invoiced in advance. If no food is ordered, this can be paid on the day of your visit by presenting your invoice to the Tearoom staff. If food is required, invoices for the food must be paid 1 week in advance. Unfortunately no refund can be given for food if bookings are subsequently cancelled. In the event of severe bad weather or other factors, hire costs can be fully refunded up to 5 days before the planned visit.
