Dragonfly Day – Workshop

Murton will remain closed until further notice.

Unfortunately a member of our tearoom team has received a positive Covid-19 test result. We now need some time to deep clean our facilities and to allow NHS Scotland Test and Protect to get in touch with those deemed as close contacts.

If you visited our tearoom from Tuesday 13th July to Friday 16th July you may have been exposed and you may be contacted by Test and Protect in the days ahead. For those that have visited Murton you know that we operate within strict Covid-19 measures and work hard to ensure that all our visitors and safe when on site.

We thank you for your support so far this summer and apologise for any disappointment our closure may cause. With such as busy site, we must act quickly and responsibly and play our part in ensuring Covid-19 cases stay low. We will extend our Summer events programme into the weekends when school return to allow you to take part in any missed activities. If you were scheduled to be with us for an event, private hire or booking in the week ahead we will be in touch with you.

We look forward to welcoming you back in the very near future and we will let you all know our re-opening date as soon as possible.

Dragonfly Day – Workshop

3rd August 2019 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm


Join Daniele Muir, from the British Dragonfly Society for a workshop here at Murton. The day is suitable for beginners right through to Dragonfly enthusiasts. To start your day, there will be an ID/ recording presentation, followed by an afternoon putting our new ID skills into practice outside.

The workshop will be based in the Rural Skills building to the right of the Tearoom. Attendees are asked to arrive early so that workshop can begin at 11am.

This is a free workshop. Tickets must be booked in advance as spaces are limited on the day. Children aged 12-14 may attend but must be accompanied by an adult who also has a ticket for the workshop.

Bring your own lunch, or you will have time to purchase your lunch from the Tearoom.

This event is part of the Angus Leader Programme, Flourishing Destinations Project.
